didn't do anything this weekend that even came close to the silliness that went down last weekend at the dfa party at studio b.
yacht came out first to warm up the crowd.
dude killed it.
but from the first second that james murphy et. al stepped onto the stage, they owned the place. studio b usually ends up as a good night, but the crowd simply erupted for lcd.
i left the show with my disco yearning satiated, and every single article of clothing drenched in sweat.

pretty good party, catchdubs kept it on lock for the first part of the night. lil' mama was surprisingly good. john brown got booed off stage. then ghostface did a too-short set, but brought out THE FUCKING RZA to throw down a few verses. rad as hell.

i'm reading rant, the new chuck palahniuk book. while it's an entertaining read, i can't help but feel that it's something of a sloppy ripoff of burrough's place of dead roads. even down to the repeated descriptions of overpowering stenches and lips constantly "peeling back" over teeth. still one of my favorite creepy turns of a phrase...the vaselines - molly's lips
